What changed
The latest StubSafe work improves what happens after a pay statement is created, strengthens offline update recovery, and adds useful product measurements without transmitting payroll or analytics data.
- Clear referral sharing: users can share the public StubSafe link without attaching the generated pay stub.
- Transparent optional support: the post-generation prompt explains that PDFs are created on-device and tips help cover shared operating and maintenance costs.
- Local-only measurements: document, support-intent, referral, and export counters stay on the device and can be reset.
- Safer PWA updates: StubSafe checks for updates after reconnecting, preserves the working offline shell, and warns before reloading a private session.
- More reliable source checks: the quarterly rules monitor now uses a transparent browser-compatible identity for official sites that reject generic automation clients.
What does not change
Payroll records and generated PDFs are still processed locally. The optional account remains separate from encrypted vaults. Local counters are not sent to StubSafe and do not reveal whether a payment completed. Tax and compliance recommendations remain advisory and source-linked.
